Welcome to the Final Accounts Section of the Directorate of Finance, University of Cape Coast. The Final Accounts Section is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the University’s financial records and reports in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards. The Section supports transparency and accountability by providing access to information on the preparation of final accounts, financial reporting, audit coordination, and related disclosures, and plays a key role in producing IPSAS-compliant financial statements for the University.

Functions:
- Preparing the University of Cape Coast Financial Statements in compliance with IPSAS.
- Coordinating the preparation of year-end and periodic Financial Statements of Colleges, the Directorate, Schools/Faculties, Halls of Residence and Sections.
- Reviewing and validating accounting entries to ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Managing audit coordination, including liaising with internal and external auditors and responding to audit observations.
- Providing technical guidance on the Topaz Accounting Software, IPSAS and University financial regulations applications.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial reporting systems, processes, and controls.
